During this experience, students will explore the Green Thumb Farm on a guided farm walk, following educational signs and discovering key features of regenerative farming, composting, bees and how we manage the farm. As they walk, we identify the fruits, vegetables and herbs we have growing at the farm, and participate in natural learning opportunities with Q&A as we walk.
The students will then participate in hands-on & fun activities, in which they will get to explore topics such as:
- Design your edible garden;
- Learn about and feed the earth worms;
- Spot our insects and pollinators in our bee hotel;
- See, touch, smell and taste culinary and medicinal herbs;
